A unique connection is bringing added meaning to May 16, 2026, as World Adventurer Day and “I Love to Listen Day” will both be observed on the same day.
The overlap highlights the importance of listening, empathy and Christ-centered communication among children and families throughout the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The NAD Adventurer Listening Patch, which was initiated at Metro Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Columbia Union Conference, encourages children to practice intentional listening to God and others.
This year also marks the 21st Annual Global Listening Celebration for “I Love to Listen Day,” centered around the poem “Today I Will Listen.”
“The joy and energy of every Adventurer bring life to our churches,” the North American Division Club Ministries recently shared in a social media post celebrating World Adventurer Day.
Churches and Adventurer clubs are encouraged to participate in listening-focused activities and share the listening poem with their communities.
Organizers described the alignment of the two observances as a reminder of God’s timing and purpose.
